25 Lines of Pain 1: I hold the tool in my shaking hand, scratching into my wrist.
2: I see how hard I can press without crying out.
3: Why does pain feel so good?
4: I can't believe I'm doing this again.
5: My boyfriend will be so sad.
6: I'm betraying all my friends who support me.
7: I'm a horrible person.
8: I deserve this pain.
9: How can I even be doing this?

One Week It's been one week
One week since delicious pain seared my skin
Twenty-five scratches.
Turning my wrist an angry red,
But fading in a few days.
I can still see them there though
Twenty-five lines of pain
Written into my arm
Invisible
To all but me
I want to re-mark them
Inscribe my pain in my wrist once again
The Sidewalk I see this girl and she's walking down the street.
She's looking straight ahead and her eyes are cold.
I say hello and how are you and she says fine, thanks and keeps walking.
And she walks and walks through life, and her parents say don't you care anymore?
What's wrong with you? You're not the daughter you used to be, you know.
And this girl, this girl with her cold eyes, calmly says yes, I know, and keeps walking.
But now she's remembering. Remembering back years and years to when she still cared.
She's been dead for so long now. Like being buried alive until you forget that you're not actually dead.

Shattered Broken
Again
Bending down to pick up the shards of glass
That comprised my fragile heart
Getting out the super glue
To piece them back together again
Little bits are missing
Pieces that I didn't find last time
Or the time before that
This time I can't find the bottom tip.
It will still work, I suppose,
But the sharp edges scrape.
It hurts.
I'd like to just stop loving
No more feeling
No more pain
No more heartbreak
I thought he would be more careful this time
But he dropped it again
It shattered on the floor.
So I'll put it away in a padded box
No-one will see it
And it will be safe.
Murder I thought I didn't need you
I thought I could survive
But now you're gone
And I'm crying
What have I done?
I never wanted to break your heart
I hated hurting you
But I was blind
I had no other choice
I feel like I've committed murder
I'm a killer of hearts
Your death is on my hands
I yearn to erase all those words
And say three others instead
But I'm afraid it's too late.
Tears Tears in my eyes
A lump in my throat
About to cry
So much of the time
Never just happy
Anymore.
Will it ever come back?
Just being plain and simply
Purely happy?
